Resistance is Futile

Resistance is Futile

I recently started volunteering at the South Pacific County Humane Society. Because I cannot have another pet right now, I valiantly tried to steel my heart against any and all canine and feline charms. It was useless. By the second visit, each and every animal had snuck right past my defenses and straight into my heart. SPCHS is a wonderful facility run by the the love and dedication of an amazing team of staff and volunteers. If you’re in the market for a new best friend, I can’t think of a better place to start looking.

Kudos to you! I can’t imagine doing what you’re doing! I’d adopt the entire lot and then what would I do? So cute, this cat. Cats are gods, you know.

    • They are for sure. 🙂 And I’m not sure what I’m going to do. If they’ve already worn down my defenses after two visits, I’m pretty sure I’m doomed. I’m not sure how long I can hold out before I bring one home.

Very beautiful cat! I think adoption is the best. All the cats I have had were adoptions.

    • I think it’s a fantastic option too. I found my dog, Jake, on the side of the road when he was a puppy thirteen years ago. He’s been my constant companion ever since. Picking him up was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and he’s one of the best gifts I’ve ever gotten.

  3. What a cute kitty. All of our pets have been strays. 10 years ago a pregnant kitty wandered into our yard. When she had he r kittens I made a decision to not give them away. Kept them all. We only have one left now,

It would be hard to not bring one or two home.

Who could possibly resist such a little character?!
