Sacagawea at Fort Clatsop in Oregon. The sculptor is Jim Demetro. His beautiful Lewis and Clark era statues grace both sides of the river.
What does she see thru the trees? Terrific piece and I love the location.
I really love this! Beautiful!
Thanks for the comments, Linda and Barbara! It really is a beautiful sculpture.
Lovely sculpture and an even lovlier backdrop!
The colors blend beautifully and such a fabulous setting. Truly wonderful!
This is a wonderful statue/sculpture. I taught American history and as part of that the story of Lewis and Clark. The narrative of Sacagawea was most interesting and the two men would never have made it without her help.
She really was a fascinating person. I’d love to know more of the Lewis and Clark story from her perspective.
I like the back view best. They somehow look at home in that wilderness!
The top photo is really, really nice. I’ve photographed her, and I had a hard time getting a good picture (I don’t like mine), so I appreciate what you did with it.
I bet yours turned out well too! Thanks, Sheryl!
