Cape D

ImageThe Cape Disappointment lighthouse doesn’t get nearly as much attention on this blog as North Head does. It should. It’s just as beautiful and dramatic. And since I had a difficult time deciding once again, here’s a second shot of the beacon, along with a ship on its way through the Bar. Clicking on the photos will enlarge them.

ImageIt’s not a great shot, but here’s a closer view of the ship.P1040646

I love lighthouses…these are iconic photos – the 2nd one being have a bit more of a mysterious aura … and the scene reminds me very much of the northshore in Minnesota – north of Duluth.

Love that ship, too. It looks a bit different. What do you think it carries?

Wishing you a great week ahead!

    • Thanks, Lowell! I’m not sure, but it may be a bulk carrier. A lot of the ones currently in port are carrying wheat or other types of grain. But this one might be carrying something more exciting, like Kryptonite. Or an alien spaceship. I hope you have a great week as well!
