Seaweed Bouquet

Seaweed Bouquet

I’ve been a little obsessed with seaweed ever since a tangle the size of Mr. Bean’s car appeared on the beach a few days ago. It contains a veritable “kitchen sink” of interesting items: rope, bivalve sea worms which Google refuses to identify for me (unfortunately, they didn’t survive the trip to shore), and a vast array of interesting textures and lines. Exploring it is a little bit like a photographic treasure hunt.

This is lovely, Amy. Except I think I can smell the mess all the way to Florida! Yikes. And I’d say you have a fecundity of seaweed, etc. Actually, you would say that. I’d say you have a plethora of seaweed, “plethora” being one of my favorite words.

    Have a great day!

This looks like something under a microscope. Really cool!

So what the heck are the blue crystals?

    • The blue crystals are the dead sea worms and their shells. I haven’t been able to figure out what kind of worms they are (or if they even are worms since they have shells). I think I’ll start marketing these bouquets to members of the undead community. I think they’d be a huge hit. 😉
